For a friend
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:54:16 PM »
Here is a couple of pics of two calls I made and a lanyard keeper. There is a story behind these.

I have a friend that retired from the forest service. After 30 years of working there, he was diagnosed with Lou Gerhig's Disease. In a 3 year time frame, he went from an active hunter, fisherman and horseman to being confined to a wheelchair. For years he and his wife had promised to come hunt predators with me, but never did. At some point, he got into braiding bridles and reins from para cord for a hobby. I told him I had made some call lanyards and he asked if I could send him one. I figured a lanyard needs calls, so I made two to put on it. Even though he will never use them, these two calls were the most satisfying to make. The calls are coco and grn mtn camo gunstock laminate.
