Just thought I would jump into this thread. I have only turned color wood a few times and it is great stuff. I have turned dymondwood lots of times and I really like it. Beautiful stuff. It is a pain to drill, and when turning, you MUST wear breating protections, as it comes off is dust, not chips. But, that said, with sharp tools, it is a real pleasure to turn and, like was said, just needs to be sanded and polished. No real finish. Here is a color chart from River Ridge Products, where I buy my dymondwood. They are great folks.
