Yup a couple antler calls.
« on: June 06, 2009, 12:50:38 AM »
I finished these 2 calls up the other day and forgot I had them until I was looking through photobucket.
John

This one I started with a piece of butternut for the mouth piece and didn't like the look of it so I made a cedar mouth piece to replace it.

This one I used a small piece I had left of English Walnut.

Very nice John.
I'm curious how you do the bells on them. You're not turning them are you?
Anyway, very nice!!

I only turn about half of it. I bore the 1/2" hole through it then I turn the outside where I want the lanyard groove. As far as the bell I turn a little bit of it out just to save time, But not alot because it's too easy to start removing the burr and not know it. LOL. then I use a dremel tool to finish making the bell.
