3 antler dymondwood distress
« on: March 01, 2009, 07:49:19 PM »
I had a guy call yesterday and wanted 3 antler base distress call with a wooden mouth piece. This is what I came up with. I just sent him the pictures. I hope he likes them. They are whitetail bases and Charcoal dymondwood mouth pieces. The bases are smaller than they look so they can be worked good.

Yep John,
Those are some nice looking calls.
I'd think working on bases like that would be extra challenging.

They're not bad to do, but rough on the dremel. I had one quit while doing the last one. Always have a backup. LOL.

They look great John.  I really like the one on the right with the greyish tint on the antler.

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.
