Thought it was the resin that had the slower set up time, but after I mixed it I walked to get the PVC(about 60 secs) and started pouring and it went from liquid to that is seconds

Looks like you are learning fast. In the adventure of making blanks depending on what you are using some times seconds make a big differance. I'll give you a little tip for capping your end while using PVC go to Home Depot and grab a rubber boot for a shelf and a hose clamp and use that to cap your end makes a stable base and multiple use instead of plastic wrap or what ever disposable capping system you might be using.

I can't count the times I've had that happen while pouring goose guts. It teaches a guy to get rolling and not stop, but it sure makes ya feel dumb when it happens. :stickman1:

 Figure it as a learning experience and get your ducks in a row for the next pour :beer:
