Walnut crow call
« on: June 04, 2012, 07:51:11 PM »
I picked up some very nice Walnut this past week. I made a couple pens also but that is another post. I decided to take one of the blocks & make a crow call. I have 2 more blanks to turn. I made this one with no particular style, design or shape in mind. The only thing set was that I was going to make my own toneboards. I used Bocote for this one & sanded it thru 12000 MM for a nice shine with no finish.

Bocote toneboard that makes very good crow sounds. Double O-ring fit into a very nice peice of Walnut with 2 small worm holes.

Other side.
RIP Russ,Blaine,& Darrell!!

Real nice Glen!  Knowing that you are a big time crow hunter, we all know that the call will sound great too!
