Hello all. My name is John Kellam and I collect squirrel calls. Until recently, I collected only vintage squirrel calls (i.e. P.S. Olt, Mallardtone, Herter's, Sure Shot, Lohman, etc.) – then I found the THO Game Call Forums website. I purchased a finely crafted squirrel call from one of the forum members last week, and since it arrived at my mailbox, I have been practicing with it and realizing that there is no comparison to the look, feel, and sound of a finely crafted call. Several THO forum members have carved acorn styled squirrel calls and posted photos of them on the website. I really would like to add one or several examples of these calls in my collection. Please let me know if any of you have an acorn style squirrel call that you might be interested in selling, if you do have one, the call would be going to a good home and appreciated. Thanks! John

Go to THO Game Calls Forums at the top of your post then search for "acorn", you'll find a bunch of fellas that have made them and pics also.

John, this sounds like a fun offer/challenge to me.
I make squirrel calls, and I carve acorns into the tops of my strikers sometimes.
I would be more tha happy to work on a caller for you.
At the same time, if there are other guys on here that are highly interested in making a call for you, they can sure get in front of me to work up a call with you.
Welcome to the website. Thanks for jumping right in.

Mr Kellam, I would be more than happy to make a Acorn Squirrel call for you if you so chose, I have been making them for about two years now, also there are others here on this site that make them also. Thanks. Crawdad

John,
Here's what I came up with. I hope this suits what you are looking for. The cap is english walnut, and the acorn is maple.

Hello All. I would like to thank HuntnCarve, Crawdad, and Vince, for allowing me to acquire their finely crafted squirrel calls, which I will enjoy for many years. Thanks also to the THO Game Call forum members who provided me with squirrel call information and advice. I am glad that I found this website and could not be happier with the calls. John
