Modern Trench Art
« on: April 29, 2013, 06:59:47 PM »
One of my projects for my Vietnam unit reunion that is coming up pretty soon.  These are 50 BMG brass bottle openers, trying to get one made for each of the guys that I spent my tour with.  In the true fashion of Trench Art, I did these with hand tools hacksaw, files and elbow grease.  I will cheat a little bit and run them through my brass tumbler to clean them up and remove any burrs that were left from the filing.

One for a test run.

Thanks for the comments.  I did a few more today, arms are still tired from yesterday, but I did get about 10 more made today.  Another 10 to 15 tomorrow and I should be about finished with them.
