I'm retiring
« on: May 06, 2011, 04:34:17 PM »
:innocent:  GAME OVER!  I SHATTERED my personal best on flathead this morning by EIGHTEEN POUNDS!

70 pounds, 2 ounces.   :2guns:

Parker

Here's a picture of my buddy holding it, so you can see how big it really is since I'm not 'normal sized'.

I remember being in KC's basement and wondering why i was so tiny, and I'm 5'11"!!
You might as well give up catfishing.  You know the next challenge is going to be getting ahold of one of them on a rod and reel.

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

WHAT A CATCH!!!! According to the water lines on the trees behind you. I can see how far the water went down when you pulled him out. Great Job!

The water is at winter pool right now in prep for the spring rains that have yet to appear.  About 2 feet low, and usually ends up about 2 or 3 feet high by the end of June.

Welcome to the site Scott.   :wav1:

She came off of a trotline.  Rod and reeling a flathead is a challenge that I'm not quite ready for.  I've tried many of nights, and have had a few hookups, but have not caught one over 5 pounds yet.  Pulling a fish out of the brush we are fishing in is a tough chore, and getting a fish to bite to begin with is even tougher.

:surrender:  I'm just that STUPID big.  I hate posing with animals for pics.  I'm 6'7" 310.   :surrender:

I'm especially bad at holding up nice largemouths.
