My first decent one

This is the 3rd call I've completed and they seem to getting easier/better sounding.  I keep bouncing these off on friends for input, that helps a lot.  Sorry for the quality of the pics but I forgot to take shots of them before it left my shop so I had to settle for a cell phone pic.  Slate over glass made from a piece of Sugar Maple I took down a number of years back, the striker is Maple with an Oak dowel.

Working on 2 more and hopefully they will look better than this one when they are all done.

That call looks good!  You're fortunate to have the equipment needed to process your own wood.  I really like the striker too, the maple looks good on it.  :bigup:
