CA accelerator I use
« on: January 19, 2011, 10:52:27 AM »
Since the get-together at my shop last weekend I've had a bunch of people PM me about what CA accelerator I use for my CA finishes.  So I figured I'd post a link to the manufacturer's site.

http://www.caglue.com/QA-6-NCF-Quick-aerosol-accelerator_p_28.html

What I like about it is that it comes out with no droplets like most other aerosol accelerators I've tried.  Those droplets will fog a finish to some degree.  This stuff comes out like fog under pressure.  It is about $12-$13 per 6oz can and a can will go a long way, as it takes a very quick shot on a spinning call to cure each layer of CA as it is applied.

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

That's a darn good price.  I can get it at woodcraft locally but at that price I'd be better off buying 2 or 3 cans and paying a few bucks for shipping.  Thanks Brian.

KC, that's what I do as well.  Buy 3 cans at a time to save on shipping.
