Mixing it up!!
« on: November 19, 2010, 10:29:22 PM »
I wanted to mix it up a little, the barrel is Antler, Cocobolo, Maple Burl & the exhaust is Macasar Ebony & Maple Burl any critiques are welcome.

Thank you all for the kind words.. This was my first call to mix with anything other than Antler and I think it turned out well.

Awesome call!! I wish I had some antler big enough to turn.. They don't grow them too big here in alabama, and we for sure don't have any elk roaming the hillside lol!!

Thank you Deek & KC!! My calls are realatively small so it is not to hard to find a good base for making the mouth peice. Keep in mind i do not always use a straight piece so I have to pay attention to how i drill it in perportion to how much i cut off. Just food for thought. Here is also a link to Moscow Hide and Fur in Idaho i beleive, you can purchase antler from them also. http://www.hideandfur.com/inventory/Antlers.html
