Another Whistle
« on: October 18, 2010, 01:34:24 PM »
Just thought I'd throw up a quick picture of a whistle that's headed out to it's new owner today. This one was built for Schwert here on the board, and though I turned it a while ago, it's just now headed out.

The wood is a chunk of Crab Apple with just a stripe of heartwood and some neat little specks that showed up on the sides as I turned it. Nice sound and comfortable in the hand.

 Hope ya like it Randy!

Nice Bob!

Brian

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

I always send instructions with the call, so read it, play with it, and if you're having problems, call me.

My Sprig whistle has arrived.  The Crab Apple heartwood/sapwood mix really is an eyecatcher.

I wrapped my short leash on it and I will be driving my wife nuts this weekend with some Peeps and Dweeeek’s.

Thanks Bob.
