The roost limbs will be lighter, tonight!

If only they tasted like pheasant...

I saw this in the Ruidoso Walgreen's parking lot, and had to take a photo of it for Hamer.  We rarely see any crows at home, but we have an over abundance of grackles that sort of look like a crow.  But they stay in town so they cannot be hunted.

We got fourteen more today.  There were three big flights and we could have used two more shooters! We are having to pick our spots carefully to keep from making deer hunters mad, now!

My wife and I went to a play today at the local college and were driving home right before sunset. There were thousands of crows heading south. I don't know where they were going, but there were sure a lot of them. We get them roosting in town in several different areas. Man oh man, do they make a mess. And since they are protected, not much folks can do about it. I almost tried to track them this evening to see where they were roosting. If it was in or near an area I could hunt it would sure produce some fun!

5 more died this AM. I had 1 just float & float & float & float &,,, well I think you get the idea.   I would claim 6 but I never seen it pile up. It just hit the 10-15mph winds & spread it's wings & just floated out of sight with nary another wingbeat.  :down1:  I left the camera on the desk here too so no pics this time. Hopefully I'll get back out again over the weekend.
