translucent yellow and clear
« on: September 19, 2010, 10:16:11 PM »
I made this one for a friend today.  Since a lot of guys make a "bourbon and water" call, my friend and I decided that I should make a call to mimic the look of beer in a clear mug.  I think I'll call this one the "pilsner".  Sounds awesome.  My buddy literally jumped for joy when he saw it, then grinned ear to ear when he blew it.  He's a good caller and has been my toughest critic as I've developed my skills, so I'm pretty excited that he's so excited.  I'm thinking that in the future I might frost the portion of the insert that is inside the barrel, just for a frosty look.  I also had a catch when I was cutting the lanyard groove on the insert so I did kind of an hourglass shape instead, and I kinda like it...It'll still take a lanyard the same way, minus the groove (I tried it).

Thanks Stump.  Gotta admit that I'll pass up a cold beer more often than not.  The stuff gives me heartburn.  Bourbon and coke however...... :whistling:

That don't sound bad either.  Well, this call can also look like lemonade in a cold pitcher.

Thanks everybody.  Made another one tonight just like the first one...It will probably hang on my lanyard this season (I've said that about over a dozen calls so far though).  Gotta make at least one more for a buddy in Maine.
