Black palm and acrylic
« on: August 17, 2010, 11:15:08 PM »
Here's one I finished up tonight.  The barrel is black palm.  Quite a nightmare to turn, but this one worked out.  Gouldman anodized band and a black acrylic insert with a single reed.  Not sure how it sounds because it is too late at night to be hail calling within 25' of my neighbors' bedroom.

Very nice effort on the Black Palm.  Last piece of that I turned ended up in my fore head  :taz: :taz: :taz: Great finish as well.

That is one awesome looking call.  I love the band.  What kind of band is that?  I wish I  had that call hanging on my lanyard!

I tried making a tone board out of the stuff...

I hate to throw around the word "impossible", but a black palm toneboard might just qualify.     That's why this one got acrylic...I don't have the guts to even put myself through that!
