« on: July 06, 2008, 03:30:30 PM »

Completed my first ons side call this morning. Cherry and Walnut good sound but took as long to make as a 2 side
call I won't make many of these cause I like to use both sides ;D...
Thanks for looking, Jeff

That's a super looking call. Why would someone want a one sided call? Not being a turkey hunter I just don't know.

I guess for the same reason someone would want a duck call...Cause it's what fits them maybe...Just kidding, I'm not a duck hunter at all. I wouldn't hazard a guess Braz. I once had a friend say that there are maybe 2,000,000 turkey hunters and at least 2,000,001 opinions on what kind of call is best. Some foks just seem to like them. Around here, a one sider USED TO come up when the wood didn't want to let me make a 2 sider from it for what ever reason. Now, I'll just make a reed call from it....LOL
