pen problem

i made a pen the other day and when i try to write with it the end of the pen retracts and the top of the pen twists.
any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have any extra twist pieces? Sounds like the one in the pen turns too easily. Maybe try a different mechanism.

Are you sure the pen is twisting back up into the pen? The pen my Wife used at work all day,, she works in a bank,, somehow had the mechanism come loose & was actually pushing back up into the top of the pen. That's an easy fix  too. But if it's twisting back up in it'll need a new transmission.
