Cocobolo

Here's the last one I'll be making for a while, at least until my hand heals from surgery yesterday.  Got this one turned and finished pre-surgery, and managed to tune it and get the band on it one-handed today.  Really dark piece of cocobolo, so I opted for the black band to blend with that.  I deviated from my usual insert shape on this one and came up with a more bulbous insert to show off the swirly grain in that part of the wood.  I kind of like the way the insert came out...Feels good in the hand.  The pictures suck...

That is an awesome looking call.  What stands out to me the most is the finish you got on that Coco.... that is amazing!
