A few Questions on making an Owl Hooter
« on: February 25, 2010, 09:14:07 PM »
I am wanting to try my hand at making an owl hooter. What are the dimensions off the call? I know I will want a 1 1/2'' bore but what about the resonant hole what size should it be?Any pointers that will make the process a little easier? Thanks in advance.

The VERY best pointer I can give you is to buy a Lynch wooden hooter and take some general measurements from it.

You can have quite a bit of variation on sizes and holes and such, and still come up with a pretty good sound.
