Parachute cord help?
« on: June 17, 2008, 11:31:50 AM »
Thanks to THO my son and I made our first lanyards.
(We're pretty tickled with ourselves!)

Now, we want to try some other lanyards with some color, but having trouble finding a supplier with various colors.

I'm pretty sure someone on THO had a link, but I didn't save it at the time.  I can find all kinds of cord, as long as it is olive/tan/white/black.

I found one supplier of colors, but the smallest amount they sell is about 1000ft! (I don't intend on making THAT many!)

Anyone know where I can get 100 to 200 ft of various colors?

Thanks...  and thanks to THO for our first of many lanyards, they were fun to make together on Fathers Day!!!

Michael

Yup - they are great folks to deal with!   Good luck with your lanyards.  Let's see some pics!

...  Let's see some pics!...

Proof?  You want proof?

I did take a couple, but haven't taken them off the camera yet... I will try to do that in the next few days.
The 'how-to' was great.  My son and I both made our first, and they look pretty good.

I ordered some maroon and orange (Virginia Tech) for my son, he doesn't know it yet!

Now, I'd like to get that 'how-to' for the lanyard keeper!!

Pic's to arrive shortly!!

Yeah, I've been slacking off since the accident, I guess it is time to get back to work and get that one done  :)  I will get it finished here in a few days.  I have a lanyard almost done that I can use for the example.

OK, I'm not avoiding the pictures on purpose, I'm never home for long anymore!!

Hopefully, I'll get the camera unloaded tonight and try to get something posted.

"lanyard keeper"

Sounds redundant ? Is there a lanyard keeper keeper, and so on.....

EDIT 6/26 .....figured out what a lanyard keeper was, and now I want to make one for a few calls I have out of matching wood.
