Some of mine
« on: June 09, 2008, 10:18:44 PM »
Here are a few I just finished. My favorite is a wild plum barrel with a thuya burl band and African blackwood insert.

This one is pretty nice too. The barrel is corrugata burl from Australia with a African blackwood insert

This one is a thuya burl barrel with a red stag antler band and cocobolo insert

If I dont sell this one, I think it will be on my lanyard this year. The barrel is mulberry and the insert is Bahama cherry

Staying along those lines, I made this woodduck call. The barrel is cottonwood a buddy picked up in Arizona. The insert is walnut

Wow those calls are pretty. You sure do a great job. I can't even pick a favorite out of this group. I like them all.

Those look really nice Misfire. It took me awhile, but I assume they are all sitting on the same dowel or something. Kinda confusing to start with. Nice use of different woods.

braz,
I pose all of my calls on a display stand. That one is cherry with a spalted maple sign board and a walnut dowel to perch the duck calls on. My display for turkey calls is a claro walnut base with a small whitetail antler to perch the calls on
