Hope the picture posts correctly
As the title says, my first "successful" celtic knot. There have been a number of attempts that have been slung across the wood shop in frustration. This is Purpleheart with Cherry. I need to get a little better at cutting my inserts, didn't get the cherry bands the same thickness. Oh well, I'm happy with how it turned out. I was almost afraid to put it on the lathe after cutting, gluing and clamping for 5 days
Thanks to all who have posted on how to do this correctly. I've learned a lot from this forum already.
