A few new duck calls
« on: November 02, 2009, 06:35:31 PM »

I learned quite a bit of things down at Reelfoot, and it has helped a tremendous amount.  Thanks again to all of the guys that helped me.

Here are the latest 4 calls that I have made:

Ebony barrel, brass band and coco insert Arkansas style

Ebony barrel, brass band and coco insert Arkansas style

Ash barrel (rescued firewood), ebony band, and coco insert Arkansas style

Hedge post barrel, ebony band, and coco insert Arkansas style

Thanks for looking.  All comments and critiques welcomed.

Rookie,  I used to use esnips to host my sound files, but I've been having some issues with esnips, so I quit using them.  I haven't searched for another place to host sound files.  If there is another good sound file host site out there, I can make one and post the link here.

Hamer, Braz just made a post on the difference, and when I get home tonight, I'll take a pic of the two styles.  Essentially, the Arkansas style is a one piece insert.  The Louisiana style is a removeable toneboard and wedge from the exhaust end of the call.

Those are all excellent looking calls, hard to pick a favorite out of them. Glad to hear you learned something at Reelfoot other than staying away from those little stone jugs  ::)
