I know the "groove" chisel has been talked about recently. There were alot of good ideas but one I did not see on the post was a file. I just started using a rat tail file to do o-ring grooves and it works like a charm. I have a flat file for the lanyard groove. Just gotta file the wood down on the slowest speed and try to keep the file clean. It has done real good on wood and I have also used it on acrylic but it did leave a small chatter line in the acrylic so I still had some sanding to do to it.

Maryvillephotog, I don't have the part no's for my cutters but from my experience you need cutters with a "positive rake" and without a "chip breaker". I ordered mine from McMaster Carr and had to get several before I figured this out! Would help if they would describe them a little better. Hope this helps.
