Doug,

Don't put an oring groove in it.  If the callmaker wants to put one in it, it's not hard to put them in a collet chuck and put in the oring groove themselves.

I'm almost half tempted to say that you don't need a pilot hole drilled in them.  How sure are you that they will be exactly drilled down the center?  If I take a predrilled insert like this, and put it in my collet chuck to drill to my depth, I don't want to have to deal with a slightly off center predrilled hole.

Will you offer acrylic and wood rough cut insert blanks??

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

I really like having the pilot hole, but at least in my case, the maching is extreamly accurate and the hole is perfectly centered.
Doug, do you plan to outsource the CNC work, use a duplicator, bring it in house ?

The whole will be centered and everything will be CNC'd. The center hole is what a lot of guys struggle on and it needs to be done I feel. I have a guy all lined up with what I want, just waiting to get a price from him....

I would definitely be interested in the drilled, non cut, no o-ring blanks. Would save me a lot of hassle with my experimenting.

I'm hoping to meet with my CNC guy this coming weekend to go over the details with him. I asked him a while back, but he never got back with me. I corner him this weekend for sure and find something out. Doug
