how difficult is copper for gettin a good sound? is it bout the same as alluminum? all i have done is glass and slate and wana do somthin else...thanks

3 1/2" is hard to get the sound right. Very different in sound and doesn't sound good if you get agressive on it. 3" is better and a bit eaiser to get to sound right.

I like it and have some friends that almost fought over a copper and cocobolo call I made a while back.  A slate soundboard tames it a little, dense wood also helps calm it down.  Otherwise it can be pretty screechy.  I prefer a Curtiswood striker with copper over any actual hardwood.
