pulling knots again
« on: August 29, 2009, 12:34:50 AM »
  Hi guys,

Due to a hand injury it has been awhile since I have been able to tie some lanyards. Here are a few I have been working on recently. Most of the keepers I made prior to my injury. The "racy" colored ones are for my upland hunting friends. The knots are a little sloppy but it is good to be at it again..

Travis                 ps. I tied the last one before I got hurt.

They look nice. I like the creative thing you did with the shotgun shell. Is that a standard round braid? I wouldn't mind seeing more close up pictures. Like on the bottom picture, did you go from round to a different kind of round or is that a wrap on there. Can't really tell. At any rate, they look nice.
Well done!
Mark

Mark,
Thanks for the kind words. I was just messing around one day and used just the brass from the shotshell, the upper part is wood. It is a standard round braid. The other one is a round braid as well then it transitions to the opposite crown (square braid?) for an inch or so then back to the round braid. Here is a pic of one I finished the other day.....Take care...
