Let me know how it works on the rosewood!  I'd like to try it on some moradillo (Bolivian rosewood) but haven't had the guts to yet.

I'll do it!....I have it on a combo wood trumpet (Yucatan Rosewood and Ebony) So far so good....There are some small grain pores that need filled up yet.....Both woods seem to be taking it well! I like that Bolivian Rosewood....It's my favorite exotic!

Where can you buy Waterlox?

I paid waaaay too much at Woodcraft.  I think I gave around $35 for a quart.  It isn't cheap anywhere when you compare it to spar or laquer.  You can buy it online for a lot less through Craft Supplies (which is an awesome woodturning supplier if you haven't ever done business with them...their catalog offers days and days of quality bathroom reading material).
