Father & Son Lanyards....
« on: August 21, 2009, 11:49:14 PM »
my latest a matching one for a predator lanyard I did earlier this year..

I was going to wait until it showed up there as a surprise but I learned a lesson recently.....sometimes there is no waiting.

When I made John's lanyard back a few months ( ? ) ago I failed to take pictures as I usually do for record...

Time had passed and Chad wanted a waterfowl lanyard so I thought about it....and thought about it...

and with Johns help of pictures and an old post of when he got it I was able to re-create it as a waterfowl lanyard...

Tripod58 helped with an exact copy of the keeper ,.Thanks Tripod58

These lanyards will be referred by me as the "Father and Son" set...

I had hoped to expand on this theme and make some for Christmas for my uncle and his 2 sons I haven't seen them in 10 years or so and thought it would be a good way to go hunting with them....until I could get up to Maine..the "I'll get to it" syndrome,it can wait...

It is not going to happen now... his oldest boy was lost to a motorcycle accident last Friday... 3 miles form his parents house....they had had differences in the past, I only hope they worked them out before Friday night..

I ask you to please make peace with your father or son or cousin or any family member/friend ...and call someone you have "been meaning to call" mail a card,...just don't sit there until the phone rings because you never know what is in store for tomorrow

Because that call will come and you will have a dumb look on your face...and it will be too late...

John

So sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin. It's always difficult to lose someone, but even harder when they are so young and it is unexpected. My sincere condolences.
