Pretty Call. Looks like you could use another light, I can still see some shadows. Looks better than mine!

I really like the call. The copper band looks great with the bocote. You might want to try positioning your lights differently or using a brighter bulb in the side lights to get rid of the shadows. Other than that it looks like your getting it down.      Ryan

We interupt this thread for a Hyjack..

Is Bocote a two, or three sylable word.
Is it Bo-cote or Bo-co-te?
Was at a wood turning event Saturday with 30 people and no one seemed sure.

We now return you to the original subject of this thread.

I'd say you got the bocote right. Anytime I've called to order padauk it's been pronounced pa-dawk.
And is it bocote? or Bacote?

Anyway ya say them... thats a nice call ;)

Pretty call, and a great picture too!

As for Bocote,

I have also heard it both ways.  I was corrected at the distributors and to keep getting a good price on wood, I call it what they do, Bo - co - te

But I don't know for sure.  I do know there is no such word as Coy O Te  they are Coy Otes.  But that's a different story  ;D
