Spalted hickory with elk band.......

Sorry I aint been on much fellas.......I been slammed.....and things are a little nuts around here.....
Oh yea and I been making a lot of calls too......

I am always amazed at how you makers can do this,.. I see trees out hunting and then I see this work,..

I saw the storm
I saw the downed tree
I met the chainsaw wielding Yotehuntr (great guy by the way)
I now see the final call

Now to make a Lanyard or 2 then....

I will get the neighbors reaction when he opens the box and hopefully post his pic here...

Sorry I did not tell the story of where it came from.....I did not know if you wanted me to......

guys for giving me some of this wood..Fantastic stuff ....a little soft but it is workable....I soaked it for a time in BLO with it being pre drilled and partially turned then CA , CA , CA......

very pretty call Al I turned my first spalted wood not long ago I like the looks alot it sure drinks the clear finish is it all that way?
