WOW!!  I think you really did an awesome job on that one Al.  It sure is a looker.  I usually think of grunt calls as callers that will see a lot of field time, but that one right there is top shelf quality.  :bigup:

Awesome piece of wood. I made a couple of pens out of madrone burl and it looks great in the light. Nice work on that one.

Al take a look at Cooks wood.com they are out of K-Falls Oregon they have a photo section showing all the woods they offer ( they have woods from all around the world ) they have lots of purplish looking wood maybe you can find something there....
