No plastic, This is from a actual beer bottle longneck. I'm helping the environment by recycling. LOL
These calls sound great too. Everything is turned to fit on the lathe then glued to the wood. Holds good, just
don't drop it on the concrete. I can leave the lables and caps on them too.

Interesting idea but I would think it wouldn't hold more than a gulp of beer

It it were me, I surely would NOT leave any labels on the bottles if I was going to sell them.    You might open your mail box one day and find a not so nice letter from some high priced lawyer in patent leather shoes and a $5,000 suit telling you to "cease and desist" LOL

The glue joint on the glass will eventually let go unless you use a silicone product and even then, the possibility is there that it too will come apart on you.

Finally, I think the call is good as a novelty, but it's not something any serious hunter should consider taking in the woods with him.   We have enough problems with people who think all hunters are drunks with guns to be out there hunting with a beer bottle call.

Other than that - cool idea.   Very creative.

That's all I was making them for, is a novelty. But I have a friend that has duck hunted two seasons with his and no glue failure.
I use a polyurethane wood glue that is waterproof and weatherproof. And the sound is very good, but I personally wouldn't take
mine out. Just looks cool setting on the mantle for a conversational piece.

Well, I bet you took that call up to deer came here in NH or Vermont, not only would you sell everyone you had -

And you would come home with enough supplies to make a million more LOL

Anytime you try to glue glass or acrylic to wood, it's a crap shoot on when it is going to come apart.   Not If, but when.

But it's still a neat call!
