The first coat was danish oil and the second was Mylands friction polish. Yeah, it was done like that for the speed factor. I usually use the Mylands sanding sealer over the danish oil and then the friction polish. I also normally dip the call in the oil first for good protection then buff it well inside and out after it has a chance to soak in and dry a bit. The use the Mylands (both sealer and finish) followed by carnuba wax. The oil offers the portection to the wood and the mylands gives it the gloss. A finish like that requires maintenance though. Just a bit of furniture polish once in awhile.
