Very elegant looking trumpet!!! :o :o  How much does something like that go for?

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

That is pretty. I feel stupid here but what do they sound like. I never seen anyone or heard anyone use one up here. It sure is pretty and I'm curious what they cost to.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

To cover both questions.  300.00 normally. I would sell this one for 250.00.  A trumpet call is used like a wingbone call. You make sucking or kissing sounds into the mouthpiece. You can make yelps, clucks, cutts and the kee kee run.  Some times this is the call to go to after the birds have heard it all.  Wayne

Thanks for the comments.  It is my first shot at snakewood, but it won't be the last.  It turns nice. I have been told that it has a tendency to crack. I was told to finish the call and get a finiish on it all in the same day..  Wayne
