It's a neat little call, I'm just not sure the woods all work together.   I think you are on to something with the bands though.   That is a nice touch, where you are placing them.   

I've always felt that just because two pieces of wood can be glued together, doesn't mean they should be.  So laminates are not my cup of tea to begin with so that this with a grain of salt.  I've like the others you have done though, so who knows?   Maybe my eyes are just tired tonight.

One thing for sure though, it really looks like you get nice tight glue joints, and that is not as easy as some people think.

Nice call over all, just not my cup of tea.

Yea......it looked way different before turning I think I shoulda  turned it the other way and drilled it so it would be darker but it is what it is....I was just messing with some trash laying around the shop. :tt2:

That first picture is cool. It almost looks like you can see through the antler, it matches the table so well. Nice.

Well, I still think the band in the middle of the call is a hot idea.    I've turned a lot of cross cut cocobolo and sometimes it comes out nice and sometimes, you just wonder what happened.

How hard was that to turn with the cross grain?   Some of it is like turinng metal LOL

I figured it out.

I think, if the grain lines were all running the same way, as in the top grain lines go down and the bottom ones go up now but if the bottom ones went down, I think that would be cool.
