Night Time Buzzin'
« on: June 25, 2009, 12:51:56 AM »
:punk: After the VECtor Inspector got done taking 3rd place in his baseball tournament tonight, I decided Shoal Creek and I needed to go on a fishing adventure!

Its been VERY hot during the day, so lets see if the bass like a buzzbait at night time!

Well, we found our honey hole pond in its usual state.....more than half covered in algae.

In an hour and a half, we hit every open spot of water we could find, and we each had 4 hits. Shoal didn't have any full-on takers though. I caught one bass that was about 15 inches, and then I caught this one 10 feet from me, and 12 feet from Shoal.

Since we were fishing side by side, I wish Shoal would have caught this fish, but Lady Luck put her on my pole.

No reeling to be had, I just pulled until he came out of the water!

I told him we'd catch a nice one since we left the scales at home.

(I dunno why I've still got my sunglasses with me, it was already dark when we left the house to go fishing.)

No, its getting down to about 80.  Its in the high 90's during the day right now.

That jacket I've got on is the top of a bug suit.  The skeeters are bad around here.

I was hoping it didn't cool off that much at night. LOL.  Again, nice bass.

Nice fish. But that picture has you holding it a WHOLE lot closer to the camera, which makes it look a lot bigger. Now, be honest, how big was that fish? 3 pounds?

:2up:  I just decided to quit holding fish up in a truthful manner.  Very few others do it, so why should my big butt?

I've put up measurements and weights and stuff, and hold the fish like I would hold up a baby for a picture, and the Internet Police on five different sites jump all over me for lying.     So now......I'll just long arm them and leave it at that.

If I had to guess, I think the fish would have weighed somewhere between 6 and 7 pounds.  One of my all-time top 10's I suppose.  I usually have my scale, but this was a last-minute idea and I forgot it.   :hammer:
