More antlers " couldn't help my self "
« on: June 07, 2009, 09:03:04 PM »
I planed on cleaning my shop and making some tools for the lathe today and not make any calls.
I got it all done and came across a old shed I had laying around had a good burr on it so made 2 more antler calls    I starting to think I got a problem........Thanks John NY   :devil2:    The little call has a lot of marrow that looked like a sponge it is real ruff I was thinking on drilling it out and sleeving it with a dowel and re-drilling it for the reed any body have any suggestions?? Thanks for looking..

Thanks Deertag I like your first calls are you ready for more? I just finished up another inspired by one of yours and John NY the little pieces you used with the little browtine on it when I get it dipped I will post photo also have been making trim pieces for my call lanyards I make going to start offering matching wood / antler to match the calls... helps dress up the lanyard plus looks nice with matching materials...
I have some water buffalo horn that I'm getting in October can't wait to make a howler everyone tells me that horn really smells funky...keep up the
good work..
