Actually I've got a handful of guys waiting on calls made from this stuff. I have a couple set back as spares in case I booger any of the blanks up while turning the calls, and if not I'll have a couple extras. After resawing the chunk I bought I have a 2-1/2" square piece that is about 10" long that I'll probably make into a pepper mill for my wife or perhaps a few wine bottle stoppers. Heck, maybe even a duck call someday.
The call in the picture was sent to Turkey and Turkey Hunting Magazine's grand slam callmaking competition about a week ago and was entered in the working call category. Not sure how it'll fare but it is the best I can do, that's for sure.
