Display stands for calls...Options?
« on: June 03, 2009, 02:37:48 PM »
A number of people that have my calls are literally begging me to come up with some sort of display stand so they can show them off in the off-season.  I'm not too interested in making them just from wood, and I occasionally see people displaying calls on little (brass?) wire stands.  I've looked at a number of internet sources for plate stands and most of what I've found won't really work all that well or look all that well with a 4" diameter pot call.

Anybody know where a guy can get some of these things?  I've thought about incorporating a small wood base for the wire thingy just to add a custom touch to match the calls.  I guess they'd be nice to have in and when I ever do any shows or at NWTF banquet-auctions, etc.  :thanks:

Mad,

That stand you're showing there sure looks nice and simple!  I may have to pick some of those up!

120 of them for $40 on Ebay right now for the next day!  If someone wanted to go in on them, we could sure get a deal going!

Could you give the item number so could take a look. I can use several if it is what I am looking for.

Look in Walmart and Kmart, I have seen these display stands in both places.  Look around the area that has the picture frames.

A dado cut on the table saw, several cross cuts with the chop saw and some pieces of brazing rod and you have some 'unobtrusive" stands. Good way to use scraps
