Waccamaw Calls:
I love using "recovered wood", especially when it has a history.
This is a piece of antique pine fror a floor joist that was in an old building that was built before the Civil War
It is for a trade with my buddy Chris Tester (Muddy Paws), thus the logo.
It's a single reed Swamp Runner using my Shadow Talker tone board jig

That sure came out nice!

My old house has 12 x 8 mahogany beams in the roof.   My wife told me not to get any ideas, but I did cut down an old cedar tree in the front yard this week, and the trunk is cut into nice little 12 inch logs drying behind the garage.  I figure I can get some nice hollow forms and twig pots out of them  :)
