I finished up a few more open reed predator calls today.
First up is a cocobolo with a brass band
Next is a hedge with a satin brass band. My brother wanted a call to use that "Isn't too nice, so that I don't have to worry about getting it banged up while using it." It was tough to make a call that isn't all polished up. The wood is from an old fence post from our neighbor's farm. One of these days, I'm hoping I find some of that green gold when I cut into an old fence post.
Up next is an all moose antler call, with a brass band. The toneboard is moose antler that sports an o-ring fit into the barrel.
Lastly is a black dymondwood with a aluminum band. The toneboard is from a hippo tusk. It has some amazing tonal qualities and sounds incredible. This toneboard will get quite a workout this coming fall.
I snuck my initials into the stippling on the backside of the call.
Thanks for looking. All comments and critiques welcomed.
