Wood from Crumudgeon
GN-1:
I was lucky enough to be sent a piece of stabilized birdseye maple from "Crumudgeon" as a gift. Well with work and coaching my little girls softball team, it took a few days to find time to turn it. I think it turned out real nice. I used black acrylic for the stopper.
Richard,
Your good deed is being passed along. I am donating this call to an auction for a little girl injured in an auto accident. You find out more about the fundraiser at alducks.com.
Shawn
Curmudgeon:
Shawn, that's fantastic work! That maple sure does look good with a black stopper, good call (pun intended) on that combo.
You transformed that ol blank into a beautiful call for a worthy cause. Well done, and thanks for sharring.
PS. Shawn called the blank a gift, but it was really a very small repayment for some extreamly helpfull coaching and advise.
Thanks again....
Braz:
Shawn, that is one fine looking call. You did a great job on it. Nice work.
