My take on an Al tutorial
« on: March 07, 2009, 09:43:25 PM »
Thought I'd show what I did with Al's 4 strand round tutorial

I have always enjoyed and been frustrated by knots and amazed how just 1 change makes it look totally different,..no cheating its either right, wrong or something else entirely..

side view 3 color cammo 2 green 1 black 1 gray

it is called a "Matthew Walker" knot and I added it to the back to show folks who think "there's a machine that does that" (us board members know different) that this isn't machine made this one being a 4 strand in the back and a 8 strand at the joint.

different lighting as per tutorials found here @ THO

Thanks for the pic taking tutorials also Al !

I hear what you are saying John.   I'm just an old man with fat fingers LOL.   But having tied a few lanyards in my day, I can certainly appreciate what these guys are doing!

Nice work.

So Cal,

The best place to start is look at the two tutorials of Al's.  The post at the top of this forum gets you there...but here is the link anyway.

I made my first (and only so far) following one of these.  It really could not be easier.
