my most recent pots
« on: March 07, 2009, 05:51:13 PM »
Here's some pots I finished up last night.

The first one is rosewood and maple, segmented.

This is my new favorite.  It is a piece of strangely figured maple with a walnut cap.

This one's purpleheart with strips of goncalo alves (tigerwood).

I screwed up and made the place for the surface about 3/32" too wide, so the surface doesn't fit all that neatly.  I might try salvaging it by filling the void with some clear silicone or something of that sort after the goop has dried.   :censored:

Sure is a pretty batch of calls. The top one really caught my eye.

You've added your own unique spin to a pot call.
Well done.  They are beautiful.

the second one is almost a topo map

always amazed by the way you fellows see inside the wood to find these gems
and the choices of laminations you come up with are striking and memorable..

Those are great. I also like the maple. It has some nice blistery quilting in it.          Ryan
