Call parameter change questions
« on: October 28, 2019, 10:17:27 AM »
What parameters should I mess with on my calls if I like the quacks and hail call sounds my call is producing but feel that the chuckles and feeding calls are too deep and broken? I don't want to shorten the reed or add heavier dog ears because I feel it takes my quacks and hail calls to a higher note. I also have a call that I like the sound on but its difficult to chuckle on. What would make it easier to call/blow? Is that a backpressure issue?

Thanks in advance!

My first question is this a new made stopper as I assume this is the same you were working on. Have you lengthened the tone channel only or what other modifications have you made . Curious are you using a public jig or one you have made or had made.

If you have lengthened the tone channel did it help or other things you have done. In order to give you the best guess more information would be helpful.
