A 2006 Success Story
« on: January 17, 2008, 11:19:18 PM »
:)  I'm sorry, Al has got me fired up now!  One of my friends is a local artist, so.....for a call and a little gear.....I got him to put this photo collage together for me.  I had this printed off, and I framed them one by one and handed them out to the folks that submitted photos.  (I'm in the top center with my 120" archery buck.)

These are all bucks that were taken with the aide of a VECtor grunter in 2006.  14 bucks, and there were 19 calls out in the field.  Reading all the success stories have been AWESOME!

Everyone asks about the center buck, because it is an absolute DREAM BUCK.  It was called in to camera range, but would NEVER get close enough for a bow shot.  UNREAL!  This deer has not been spotted by that hunter since that day.

Missouri archery season just closed on Jan 15th, so I started taking a photo count for the 2007 photo now.  I have 25 buck photos collected now.  I'll show the 2007 photo collage when it is completed.

I hope you all enjoy this photo collage.  I know I do!   :)

WOW, that is impressive. I am jealous, I did not get drawn this year. Hopefully next year. It sure is satisfying to hear of other peoples success with calls you made isn't it. Congratulations to you and all the successful hunters.

Didn't get drawn?!  What state are you hunting in bud?  Need to come to MO.  They'll sell everyone a deer tag over the counter.   :D

Hey, that is really cool, a collage of pictures called in with your calls. I think that is something we could all consider doing. Of course, mine wouldn't be those gorgeous bucks, but coyotes and bobcats.

I really emphasize with the folks I make calls for that I'm in to the photos and stories.  I tell them all, and I'm EXTREMELY serious about it......that my goal is to have 1" by 1" harvest photos covering a wall poster.  So far, this deer collage is the only collage I've had made.  I've tinkered with the idea of having a turkey one, but I have not done it yet.

I agree Braz - That's a great idea!  And can you just imagine having that at a show with your calls?  Wow!  Talk about a selling aid!
