Painting
« on: August 20, 2019, 09:26:37 PM »
I am a true rookie when it comes to call making but I have a project I would like to tackle. First I need some advice. I have an old acrylic duck call that is fading and an ugly color. I want to paint it but do not know what type of paint to use nor the process of preparation. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
I can't help with painting but maybe another member has some experience.

Again welcome.

Reelfoot, the original duck call. What's on your lanyard?

I do not think painting of any kind would work out on your call.

In my opinion if it is acrylic simply wet sand with 600 grit wet sand paper and buff it with a buffing compound such as Mothers mag wheel polish.
