Glass over aluminum?

What do you guys think about putting an aluminum soundboard under a glass surface? I was going to do glass over slate but I have this aluminum soundboard and was kicking around the idea of pairing these 2 together. Don't think I've come across a call in this combination so I have no idea if they pair well together.

Aluminum over glass is a great combo. Don't know about the reverse!

Right. Slate and glass seem to flip flop well, wonder if the same would be true of glass and aluminum.
